Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1: How do I listen to the podcast?
A1: You can listen to any and all episodes for free (downloadable from Apple Podcast, Google Play, or Stitcher). You can also listen to all our episodes right from our website for free as well: https://www.abainsidetrack.com/previous-episodes. On the website, episodes are available under the “Previous Episodes” tab (all episodes) as well as on the main page (recent episodes).

Q2: How do I order CEUs?
A2: If there is an episode you want to get CE credit for, listen to the episode first and write down the two "code words" you hear during the episode. Then go to our website, specifically the "Get CEUs" page: https://www.abainsidetrack.com/get-ceus/ and select the episode you want; there will be spots to enter your info and it links to payment options as well. We will then make and email you a pdf certificate within 24-48 hours.

Q3: I put a CEU in my cart but don’t know how to check out. What do I do next?
A3: The cart is in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Click there to see what episodes you’ve put in your cart.

Q4: I put a CEU in my cart but it didn’t ask me for my info. Why not?
A4: That info (including the name you want on your certificate, the email you want the certificate sent to, and your certification number) is collected after you hit “checkout.” This allows you to only have to put this information in one time per order.

Q5: I’m not a BCBA but I want/need to order a certificate. Is this ok?
A5: Yes, depending on your needs. We are approved to provide BACB ACE continuing education CEUs and QABA CEUs. You can list your certification for either of these agencies in the spot that currently says “BACB Certificate #" (we will be updating it). Additionally, sometimes people who are not BCBA or QABA need CEUs for their employer or licensure body. If the type of CEUs your employer/licensure body wants you to obtain are those we are approved to provide, you can also order CEUs for that purpose. Just put “n/a” in the certification spot if it is not applicable.

Q6: I ordered some CEUs but I have not received them. Why not?
A6: The CEU certificates do not send out automatically; we check the orders for the correct code words before sending out the certificates. If you ordered in the past 24-48 hours, please wait a bit longer as we may still be processing the certificate. If you ordered the certificate more than 48 hours ago, Step 1 is to check your spam folder, as the certificates sometimes get caught there. Step 2 is to check to see if you’ve received a follow up email from us requesting more information. This usually occurs if you entered the incorrect code words. If you have an email from us, please respond so we can get your certificate sent. Step 3 is to check the order confirmation you received from Squarespace and review the spot on the bottom of the form where you entered your email. If you put your last name, physical address, or an incorrect email (“gmail.con” I am looking at you) in the spot marked “email address” it is possible that we did not catch it to correct it during processing and therefore the email did not send. Email us at abainsidetrack@gmail.com to correct this. Step 4, if none of these things are wrong, please email us at abainsidetrack@gmail.com and we will get it sorted out.

Q7: I only received one certificate from you, but I ordered more. Why?
A7: Each certificate sends in a separate email. Check to see if you have multiple nested emails from us or check to see if some went into your spam folder. If not, follow the steps for Q6 above.

Q8: What is the difference between my BCBA certificate number and my BACB ID number?
A8: Your BCBA certificate number (or BCaBA or RBT) is the number you receive when you pass the test and become a BCBA (or BCaBA, or RBT). This is the number you should be listing on your CEU certificate. It takes the form of 1-xx-xxxxx, with the first two x’s being the year you got your certificate, and the last several x’s representing the sequential number BCBA you are in the world. For BCaBAs, it is the same but the first number is 0. Your BACB ID number is the same number that follows you from getting your fieldwork all the way through being a BCBA. This is a 6-digit private number assigned to you by the BACB and not for sharing. Don’t send us this number.

Q9: Where can I get those Preschool Life Skills data sheets you talked about in Episode 34?

Q10: Can I gift my friend some CEUs?
A10: Yes! You can order e-gift cards on our Merchandise page: ABA Inside Track Gift Card — ABA Inside Track. Your friend can then email us to trade them in for CEU certificates at any time in the future (they will need to listen and know the code words, of course).

Q11: I was thinking about emailing you for some clinical advice regarding my child or client. Should I?
A11: Sorry but no, ethically we cannot provide behavior analytic advice to anyone who is not our own client.
